Professor Sean Waters

MEET THE FOUNDER
AND LEAD LEARNER (CEO)

Sean Waters is a nominated master-teacher and freelance philosopher with a Master of Arts in Philosophy and a Master of Arts in English Education. With a passion for cutting-edge curriculum design, he's helped hundreds of people find more meaningful work and build more fulfilling lives. 

With over 17 years of experience teaching at Colorado State University and over 20 years performing live music, Sean founded the Wisdom Workshop in 2020 to create the courses he most wanted to take and find a way to connect with inspiring lifelong learners all over the globe.

Sean is dedicated to creating psychologically brave spaces where everyone is encouraged to attend to their own emerging mastery. MEET THE STUDENT SUCCESS COORDINATOR (COO)

Drew Stegmaier is a freelance educator and lifelong learner with a bachelor's in management focused on entrepreneurship, and a minor in leadership and social change. Ex-Google, he's committed to bringing heart and soul to help corporate employees communicate with candor and care.

Following a synchronistic meeting in the Stoa, Drew joined the Wisdom Workshop team in the summer of 2024, inspired to co-create a lean university focused on human relations. As head of operations, Drew is part air-traffic controller, part growth-gardener (a.k.a. human resources specialist), and part alumni-connector.

MEET THE GROWTH-MARKETING DESIGNER  (CMO)

Ehren Crumpler is a marketing strategy designer with a bachelor's in English. With experience in graphic design, photo and video production, website design,and social media advertising, Ehren is a lifelong friend of Sean’s. They’ve been making music together in Fort Collins, CO, since 2001. 

Ehren has been helping to build the Wisdom Workshop since 2020, when Sean asked him to help build the first Wisdom Workshop. They launched a boutique educational artist service firm, Syncopate Media, later that year.     

Since 2019, Ehren has been the stay-at-home father of two amazing boys. Now that the boys are in school, he’s doing some hand-picked client work when he’s not picking on his custom-built Stadler guitar or helping record the next Sunrise Genius single.

MEET OUR EMERGENT LEARNING FACILITATOR  (ELF) RUTH

Ruth Kaur is a skillful and compassionate listener with expertise in nonprofits, startups/scaling, education, strategy, executive coaching, and Shakti-based leadership development.

A founding leader of three public charter schools in California, Ruth is a designer of systems, a people-developer, and natural teacher. She helps clients with a range of management challenges, ranging from the technical to the highly personal, with deep knowledge of  strategic planning, cultivating a safe and effective work culture, meditation and therapeutic interpersonal interaction in the workplace, board development, grant writing and grant management. 

She is an advocate for alternative models of continuing education, integrating her spiritual practice with improving the way we think of education, and the way we engage learners of every age. Learn more about Ruth's work via her LinkedIn.

MEET OUR EMERGENT LEARNING FACILITATOR  (ELF) Kyle

Kyle Christensen is a man with a bio that isn’t complete yet. But isn’t that the truth for all of us. A trainer, facilitator, educator, and coach, Kyle is on a mission to enable well-being, purpose, and belonging at work. He believes that personal growth always positively impacts the team,the  organization, and community.

With the rest of the team, Kyle is an advocate for continuous learning and growth, inclusive engagement, and the sense of belonging we experience in the spaces we spend much of our time.

As a leadership development and learning facilitator, Kyle is passionate about working with individuals, teams, and organizations to realize this focus and commitment to health and well-being.He has expertise in organizational curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation and facilitation.
